End The Taboo. Period!

Femme Rising
A Flow of Change
PURE Femme’s journey began with a deep commitment to breaking the stigma surrounding menstruation and empowering women and girls through period literacy. From the very beginning, our vision was to create a world where menstrual health is recognized as a vital part of overall well-being, and no woman or girl is held back because of her period.
Our volunteers and trainers have traveled over 350,000 kilometers to bring period literacy to remote and underserved communities. Their dedication and tireless efforts have made it possible for women and girls everywhere to access the knowledge and resources they need to manage their periods with dignity and confidence.
PURE Femme continues to grow, fueled by the passion and determination of everyone involved, as we work to break taboos, promote sustainable menstrual health solutions, and create a future where menstruation is no longer a barrier to education, health, or personal development.
Femme’s Path to Menstrual Equity
The focus areas of PURE Femme address the key pillars of menstrual health, from education and advocacy to sustainable solutions. Our initiatives aim to break barriers, provide access to menstrual products, and foster period literacy in communities around the world.
Campaigning on Menstruation Around Menstrual Hygiene Day
Let's put menstruation in the spotlight!
The global interest in menstrual health and hygiene peaks on Menstrual Hygiene Day (MH Day), celebrated on May 28th. This is when the MH Day movement comes into full action, maximizing attention on menstrual health and hygiene. At PURE, we stand united with global, national, and local communities to ensure our voices are heard loud and clear.
Through coordinated campaigns under the same theme, we work together using a universal hashtag and campaign materials to amplify our collective efforts. Our shared goal is to create a #PeriodFriendlyWorld where menstruation is no longer a taboo and all individuals have access to menstrual products, education, and support.
Join us in advocating for menstrual equity, raising awareness, and taking action on Menstrual Hygiene Day to break barriers and ensure that menstruation does not stand in the way of education, health, and personal growth. Together, we can make a lasting impact.
Explore Your Event Options with PURE Femme for Menstrual Hygiene Day
Highlight your work
Schools, colleges, and shelters can organize educational events to raise awareness about menstrual health. These can include workshops, seminars, and product donation drives to support those in need. This is a great opportunity to showcase the efforts of PURE Femme and highlight the importance of menstrual health education.
Activate Your Team
Corporates can activate staff during lunch breaks or host after-work events to create a fun, engaging environment for learning about menstrual health. Consider organizing a Period Party or interactive session to build awareness and team camaraderie.
Raise Awareness
Schools, colleges, and communities can host public gatherings, rallies, or exhibitions to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene. These events can be platforms for education and also an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations around breaking the stigma associated with menstruation.
Engage Leaders of Change
To bring about systemic change, it's crucial to involve leaders. Corporates, schools, and shelters can collaborate to organize a national event bringing together key stakeholders such as government representatives, civil society organizations, and influencers. This would be a powerful platform to advocate for policies and actions that promote a #PeriodFriendlyWorld.

PUREathon
